Maybelline Baby Lips pics + swatches

Hello ladies!!
So today I have a very exciting purchase, a few days ago I purchased these new maybelline lip balms called "Baby Lips"

Quenched, Grape Vine, Pink Punch, Peach Kiss

all of them except the one in Quenched give off very good pigmentation, I've already tried all the ones I bought and luv them all, my fave so far is Pink Punch!

Here are some swatches, I really hope everyone tries these, I highly recommend them, they are definitely worth the purchase, they run from about $3-4 [depending on where you buy them]...and if the price doesn't reel you in, the super super cute packaging will!

Updated Review: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

Hi Ladies So I am here with my thoughts on the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation....I ve had this foundation for about a week and a half now and it has become a fave, so lets begin with the review:

Foundation Shade "225"
Concealer "Sand/Sable"
Refernce shade: MAC NC37

Pros
Packaging is very elegant and attention grabbing
Has SPF 18
No harsh smell
Medium Coverage for me
Stays put for about 6-8 hrs, I only have to blot 1-2 times [if I forget to apply a primer]
Blends easily
18 shades to pick from with coordinating concealers, blushes, & Bronzers
Inexpensive $6-8
very light-weight

Cons
No pump [But no problem for me]
The concealer is nothing special..kinda works like the mineral power concealer only with a tiny more pigmentation.

FYI: I don't think I'm going to try any of the other products, since It's known that Maybelline blushes are not that pigmented.

Product Rave/Mini Review Sonia Kashuk Powder Blushes!!

Hey ladies so I'm here with a quick tiny review/rave about a product that I've been loving sooo much lately.
I hardly see these blushes being mentioned in the beauty world...but I love them and I think we should all show them some love...they are the Sonia Kashuk Powder blushes.

What I love about these blushes are:
  • Great pigmentation!!
  • They blend really nicely
  • Not powdery at all
  • Sleek white packaging with magnetic closing
  • Found easily at your local Target
  • Very affordable, $8-9 [better than $18 for a mac blush]
I have nothing bad to say about these blushes :D

[Flamingo, Melon, Lilly]

I hope you all decide to try at least one of these blushes...they really are a great find, I'm hoping to try the cream blushes next.

Thanks for reading :D

Review: Smashbox Heartbreaker lipshine--Berry

Hola ladies I'm here with a tiny review on a lipgloss that i've really been loving and I wanted to share my love for it with you my lovely readers :D

I bought this lipgloss a while back while out shopping with my friend Steph..to be honest with you ladies I only bought it because my friend was awwing it and decided to get it herself..it kinda hurt me to pay $19 for  a tube lipgloss...I mean it sometimes kills me to spend $14 for a MAC lipglass; but I've grown to love it soo much I carry it in my scrubs at work all the time.

So on to the review of the Smashbox Heartbreaker lipshine in Berry from their Spring 2010 collection.
.
.
.
I really loveee this lipgloss, It is super wearable because you can either wear it sheer and also layer it on for  a more pigmented finish. It doesn't smell bad or taste bad, It's not sticky at all, I love the color I mean on the tube it looks like a very strong fuschia but it's really not that strong...it's very sheer yet buildable.

I did only two swipes of the lipgloss...I love wearing it, I wear it to work and for work I usually don't wear strong lip colors and this is perfect, it works great as a subtle yet noticeble color...I feel so pretty when I wear this lippie.

I really recommend trying this lipshine [if you can still find it since its LE], it's definitely worth the splurge.

In love with Mark Cosmetics + mini review....

Hey ladies Im here with a mini haul from Mark....I ordered these off of a friend from work..I've been wanting to try their blush for the longest time and I finally had a chance to try it out plus a few other things so here is what I ordered

I got two lipsticks, a blush, & a eyeshadow/eyeliner duo

The shade I got is in "After glo"...OMG this blush is sooo beautiful..it is such a steal at only $7dollars..I got this shade because I have heard so many good things about it and it is def lives up to its hype.
it gives me such a beautiful glow without looking too shimmery or overpowering..I might get another shade and a compact for it, since I still have it in the original packaging [you have to buy the compact seperately]..any suggestions on what other shade to get..please let me know :D

look at this beautiful glowy peachy pink shade!!!

these here are the Dew Drenched Moisturlicious Lip Color  and let me tell you these are definitly moisturizing..I don't even need to apply lip balm under these babies...the colors are a little sheer but on me they do show up nicely :D

ok so I was kinda skeptical to try these out because they kinda look like a rip-off but trust me they have the same product as a normal l/s would it's just that the packaging is tiny...I got skinny dip because I loved the way it looked on one of the models in the catalog...it is such a pretty nude color and I got crush because it looked like the shades I adore which are pinky/lavender shades and I love it too..

they almost look wet..that's how moisturlicious they are..lol!!!

the last thing I got is the Keep it going longwear eyeliner & eyeshadow  hmmmm....I'm not really impressed with this I tried it a few times and the purple shade is just like all the other purple gel liners I've tried, plus it's also a little on the sheer side..and as a base it super hard to blend, it dries up really quick I guess that's how it stay put for a good while...now the gray shade is a little better it's not sheer at all...at first I thought the purple shade was going to be an eyeshadow and the grey an eyeliner I mean they make it seem like one is a powder shadow...but both are gel consistency.

and this is $10 would I purchase more of these?...NO! I would def repurchase more of the blushes and lipsticks!

Thanks for Reading ladies!!!

Review: HollywoodBrushes

Hey ladies I am here with an exciting review, I was contacted by Hollywoodbrushes.com to do a review on their brushes..I love trying different brands of makeup brushes so I decided to do it.

Here is the set I received..I chose the 10pc Set (Red Color), I really love how the black and red look like together.
[FTC: Sent for free fo the purpose of a review]

This is what the case they came in looks like closed...very sleek, trendy and compact.

Hair: Goat/Pony/Sable/Raccoon/ Taklon
Ferrule: Gloss black aluminum
Handle: Birch wood

Dimension:
• Brush Length: 8 inches (biggest brush)
• Pouch size: 9" x 3.5"

Review:
I really love these brushes...I love the feel, the design, & the quality...you get all your essential face brushes, plus a variety of eyebrushes, and a lip brush all for only $44.99..that's super cheap. Brushes do not come with an odor, this is very important to me because that is one of my pet peeves.

  • Blush Brush: This brush I adore for blush I love how it's fluffy on one side but flat sideways..it picks up color very nicely..I found it very strange that this one doesn't shed at all

  • Foundation Brush: This brush really surprised me, I usually don't like using foundation brushes for my foundation, I prefer using a stippling brush or sponges, this one I really like, it didn't soak up all the foundation like most brushes do and I didn't have any streaks left on my face..

  • Pointed eyeliner brush: I found it difficult to use this with cream or gel liner, it's best used with liquid eyeliner, I used it by dipping it in one of my liquid eyeliners, I just took out the applicator it came with.

  • Eyebrow brush: I love this for my eyebrows and specially to use with my gel or cream liners..I love how versatile this brush is.

  • Mascara Brush: I used to comb my eyebrows, I love how light it is.

  • Lip brush: This brush doesn't really come in handy for me since I use mostly lipstick and lipgloss out of the tube..I used it with some of my lip palettes and it's a little too flimsy, but it's ok.

  • Smudge brush: I love this brush, I use it to apply my highlight and adore it.

  • Large/Small eyeshadow brush: One of the best eyeshadow brushes I have tried so far..they pack on color so good and the fact that they are pointed help to apply shadow to your lower lashline.
Overall I really liked these brushes...my favorites would have to be the smudge brush, both eyeshadow brushes, blush brush & the eyebrow brush. The set is very convenient especially for a beginner in makeup, the only thing I found missing from this set is a blending brush,  I will definitely check out more of their brushes.

Thanx for Reading
& Don't Forget to check out

Review: Skin MD Natural Face, Hand, & Body Shilelding Lotion

Hey ladies so Im back with a tiny review; I was contacted a while back by Skin MD with an oppurtunity to do a review on a lotion and I said yes because I am always on the lookout for a good lotion that will help me get through my driest skin time...which is winter time!! Plus I always suffer from super dry hands because I'm a Medical Assistant and I am contantly washing my hands...so here ar my thoughts on this lotion that I have been using for a few weeks now:

Pros
  • Great convenient size; perfect for traveling
  • faint smell
  • no sticky consistency
  • feels very light
  • not oily at all
  • very hydrating
  • paraben free
  • works great as a face moisturizer
  • No animal testing

Cons
  • only con I see is that some people may not want to purchase this 4oz lotion for the price of $18

Want to find a store that sell Skin Md near you? Click here
 ****Prices here

Final Verdict: I really like this lotion, it has really improved the overall dryness of my hands..they do get dry once in a while when Im at work but thats because I wash them whole lot...when Im at home my hands feel great after doing one application of this lotion...will I repurchase when I run out??? There's a good chance I will...I mean most of the lotions I've tried are way to heavy or oily plus are not natural therefore I might have to think about repurchasing...so if I were you gals I would definitely give this lotion a try...Ive also used it as a face moisturier several times and it works wonders :D

Review: NYX Eyeshadow Base**EDIT**

Hey ladies Im here to give you a quick review on the new base I recently got from NYX, I've had this for about 2 weeks now and I think Ive used it enough to be able to do a good review on it..so just to let you know these are just my thoughts and opinions based on my experience with this product; it may work better or worst for you :D

The one I have is in skintone

Price:$6
Where to buy: NYX Cosmetics, Cherryculture, Nonpareilboutique.com, and any other places NYX is sold

Pros:
  • Only $6
  • alot of product [7g] for the price..contains more than a MAC PP[5g]
  • comes in a jar as opposed to UDPP or loreal decrease
  • can be easly applied with fingers or a brush
  • make eyeshadows pop
  • blends into your skin very smoothly
  • a little goes along way
  • can be used as a concealer, base, primer
Cons
  • looks & smells just like the "NYX concealer in a jar" [almost the exact same ingredients]
  • costs more than the concealer in a jar which is the exact same thing
  • only comes in 3 shades [white;same as NYX's JEP in milk, pearl, and skintone]
  • definitely not 100% crease proof, Ive never wear my makeup for more than 6 hrs, it started creasing a little by the sixth hr
*Ingredient Comparison with concealer
Eyeshadow base ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Mineral Oil, Microcrystalline Wax, Silica (and) Methicone, BHT, Dipentaerythrityl Hexahydroxystearate/Hexastearate/ HexarosinateRicinus Communic (Castor) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Octyldodecyl Myristate, Polyethylene, Fragrance, Butylparaben, Nylon-66, Ceresin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polyethylene, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

MAY CONTAIN: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Chromium Oxide Greens, Ultramarines. -- Cruelty Free / No Animal Testing

see it looks exactly like a concealer

blends very nicely

Example: I swatched an elf e/s, as u can see it really make the e/s more vibrant

[compared to other primers]

Final Verdict:
I don't think I will be repurchasing this base again...if I do decide to try this again I'd rather just buy a concealer..lol!! I do like the price and the fact that it does the job but seriously why buy this when its just a concealer!! It doesnt do anything special that any other concealer wouldnt do if  used as a primer, I do love the packaging, the fact that you can use all the product without struggling, so there you have it..my quick review...
if you have anymore questions let me know :D
